If you are like many people, you have heard of Winsor Pilates, but you may not have a real idea of where Winsor Pilates originated. Winsor Pilates is an exercise method that initially was developed through the work of Joseph Pilates. Mr. Pilates brought his exercise methodology to the United States in 1923. (Despite what many people assume, Pilates has “been around” for a long time.) Mr. Pilates originally designed his exercise regimen for dancers, particularly ballet dancers.
